Dregs win Best Music Act at Minnesota Renaissance Festival

As the Minnesota Renaissance Festival winds to a close, The Dregs thank all of our "Droopies" for another great season.

This year, The Dregs were honored as the Best Music Act for the 2009 season, beating out two great bands - Four Pints Shy and the Whiskey Chasers. We were proud to be on the same list with those bands and equally proud to perform at the festival with so many gifted performers. Getting recognized by our peers was a big thing to us and we all got extra drunk as a result.

The honor from the Festival added to a great year that included our first performances at the Feast of Fantasy, some great times with the Court Revelers and a lot of new music. It was great to see so many friends, both old and new.

To everyone who gave us a dollar, a drink or just listened to our music, thanks. We couldn't do it without you.

The next couple of months are fairly low key in Dreg land, but mark your calendars for our Holiday shows on December 6th, 17th and 19th. We'll have a new holiday CD ready and Terry Foy will be joining us once again. More details on those shows will be coming up but for now, thanks for a terrific run. We'll see you next year.
